Despite the many challenges our industry is currently facing, the Football Foundation Framework process has already secured CCGrass UK a good number of projects to keep us busy for 2022. With our Framework partners W H Malcolm and their construction team at Charles Lawrence Surfaces, we know we’ve got a great force to ensure all of our new artificial grass pitches are installed to perfection.

Already this year, installation is nearly finished in Chester at the KGV Sports Hub, where Chester FC play.

A member of the community trust commented, “There’s a little more work before it’s completed but CCGrass UK and Charles Lawrence Surfaces Ltd have done a fantastic job.”

The installation has progressed well, despite being hit by some unwanted January weather. However, the whole community is extremely excited for the work to finish and we can’t wait to see those first players get on the pitch.

The surface that has been installed is our Stemgrass 60, which is soft to the touch yet very hard wearing. The 12,000 dtex yarn, is flat and wide with a central spine, offering excellent infill coverage. The two tone green fibres create an overall natural look, with the mid-range pile weight providing a great appearance as well as first class results.

Another one of our Framework projects currently being installed is at Rastrick High School. The Stemgrass 60 surface has been laid and the facility is nearly complete. This project was a rebuild of an old pitch, carried out by the Charles Lawrence team with a new tarmac base laid by Woodholme Construction.

Our teams are also on site in Norfolk and news of this project will follow in our next Newsletter.
